Concerts

Greenwich House Music is not only known throughout New York City for its tradition of excellence in the study of music, but also for its presentation of exceptional performers, concert series and various other works and exhibitions.

Our concert schedule consistently features a diverse array of artistry that wholeheartedly embraces classical tradition along with cutting-edge contemporary styles. Each performance is presented in the intimate setting of the Renee Weiler Concert Hall and offers the audience the unique experience of the musical salons of a bygone era. Guest artists from around the world continue to value the Hall as a performance space, and we are deeply honored to share their outstanding works with our community.

North River Music, our annual concert series, highlights contemporary musicians from around the city.

Funding for the concert series is provided, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts, the Virgil Thomson Foundation, the Aaron Copland Fund for Music, Amphion Foundation, and MEET THE COMPOSER.

Recitals

Students are encouraged to participate in monthly recitals, which are held on Fridays at 8:00 p.m. for senior students and Saturdays at 1:30 p.m. for junior students. A workshop is held the week prior for students to rehearse in the recital hall.

Faculty also present recitals throughout the year to showcase their repertoire for the community. All recitals take place in the Renee Weiler Recital Hall.
