North River Music 26: Deviant Septet: A New Take on Karlheinz Stockhausen's 'Tierkreis'

Deviant Septet presents 12 newly-commissioned world premieres inspired by Karlheinz Stockhausen monumental work ‘Tierkreis’ (Zodiac), each work based on one month of the Zodiac and its corresponding themes from the Stockhausen original.

Composers: 'Tierkreis', works inspired by Karlheinz Stockhausen, includes movements by Brad Lubman, Jason Price, Caroline Shaw, Elizabeth Ogonek, Dominique Leone, Kevin McFarland, Adam Roberts, Danielle Schwob, Elliot Cole, Preshish Moments, and more.

Deviant Septet:  Bill Kalinkos - clarinet;  Mike Gurfield - trumpet, Shayna Dunkelman - percussion, Brad Balliett - bassoon, Doug Balliett - bass, Dave Nelson - trombone, Courtney Orlando - violin
